High-Impact Client Work
-
Sole Designer – UK Cabinet Office / Prime Minister’s Office
Commissioned by the UK Defence Secretary to design a suite of conceptual dashboards for monitoring and responding to the nation’s most critical threats. Gained secure access to the national risk register and translated complex risk data into a set of high-fidelity, scenario-driven prototypes. The resulting system, comprising over five interconnected screens, was adopted and built into production—now used by the UK Prime Minister and senior officials during emergency response situations.

Product Designer – Internal SaaS Tool, Big Four Consultancy
Initially designed and developed as an internal audit product within my team, with two key modules. This laid the foundation for a full-scale platform that was later developed and sold globally. I went on to design two of the core modules in the full product suite, which now automates major parts of the audit process and has generated millions in revenue.
-
Lead Designer & Risk Consultant – Elite Football Club
Brought in as the sole designer and senior consultant on a high-impact engagement to create a full enterprise risk framework for one of the world’s top football clubs. Working alongside a seconded manager from the club, I helped define the business structure, create risk categories from scratch, and map a full risk universe tailored to a high-performance, globally exposed organisation. We also authored a complete set of principal risks—titles, descriptions, and alignment to operations—crafted from internal data and stakeholder insight. The work was fully adopted by the club’s executive leadership with high praise and now forms the foundation of their risk strategy and reporting.
-
Consultant & Researcher– Financial Services Innovation
Part of a core four-person team tasked with foundational user research for a major global bank’s entry into the UK challenger banking market (now a successful, live product). Over three months, we explored real-world financial behaviours through immersive ethnographic research—spending days with participants as they shopped, travelled, and made everyday spending decisions. We combined this with in-office interviews, competitor analysis, and iterative concept testing to identify key consumer types, motivations, and unmet needs. The project culminated in a multi-day workshop with senior leadership, shaping early product direction. Both the research and final outcomes were highly praised—and directly contributed to the launch of what is now one of the UK’s most successful new banks.

Project Consultant (Secondment) – Racing Digital
During a three-month secondment from EY, I joined Racing Digital to support the largest digital transformation in British horseracing history—developing a £10m platform to modernise how owners, trainers, and stakeholders manage racing operations. Alongside advising on PMO setup and leading weekly project reviews, I was tasked with a complete audit of the official British Horseracing Rulebook—some sections unchanged for centuries. This involved reconciling outdated, conflicting, and redundant rules in light of modern regulations and weight systems. The result: a streamlined, modernised rulebook now used across the sport, representing a rare rewrite of a historically untouched governance system.
-
Product Analyst & Creator – Board Reporting Innovation
This project began with a single challenge: could 28 audit reports from a global mining company be distilled into a one-page, board-level summary that was clear, insightful, and visually engaging? With no formal brief, I analysed reports from across the world, identified key metrics, and designed a single-page static report featuring global audit scores mapped geographically, a timeline of key actions, and a ranked summary of top-performing and high-risk areas. The result was a clean, high-impact boardroom tool that transformed how audit insights were presented. The client paid £10k for the single report and returned quarterly, with the work later evolving into multi-million-pound dashboard and reporting platforms across the mining, minerals, and construction sectors.

Leader Designer & Strategist - Multiple Projects
I was frequently brought onto projects to explore the future — designing concept-level solutions that showed what’s possible in an ideal data and AI-driven world. These were used to excite senior stakeholders, align teams, and shape long-term digital ambition.
Examples include reimagining the customer experience for BP across three future technology horizons — from next-gen petrol stations to fully autonomous journeys — and designing workforce management tools for a UK rail provider to visualise how they could one day coordinate staff, schedules and systems in real time.
These weren’t just blue-sky visuals — they were grounded in feasibility, and often helped secure buy-in, funding, or set strategic direction.
